Who we are at Atlantic Shores.

Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind, LLC is a 50:50 partnership between Shell New Energies US LLC and EDF Renewables North America and its Lease Area is located approximately 10-20 miles off the coast of New Jersey between Atlantic City and Barnegat Light. In June of 2021, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities awarded Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind a contract to develop 1,510 MW in offshore wind energy, enough to power up to over 700,000 homes!

“This New York Bight lease, in combination with our existing portfolio of Projects, solidifies Atlantic Shores’ position as a driving force to and deliver clean, renewable power while protecting our natural resources. It also provides significant momentum for the Atlantic Shores domestic supply chain strategy and qualified workforce we are investing in, in line with our target to create thousands of good-paying jobs for years to come,” said Joris Veldhoven, Commercial Director at Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind.

In addition to bringing clean power to homes, the project will also create jobs and boost the region’s economy.

Our project will produce 1,510 MW in offshore wind energy, enough to power over 700,000 homes!
